Dimensions & Weight
Key dimensions are checked against the agreed specification. Weight can be used as an additional cross-check for the order.
We check each Ringlock order against the agreed specification before shipment. Depending on the component, checks can cover dimensions, weight, material documents, visible welds, connection parts, galvanizing, assembly fit and packing.
Checks vary by component. Standards, ledgers, diagonal braces, base collars and adjustable jacks are checked for the dimensions, connection details, visible welds, surface condition and assembly points that apply to each part.
Key dimensions are checked against the agreed specification. Weight can be used as an additional cross-check for the order.
Rosettes, wedges, ledger heads and other connection areas are visually checked for condition, positioning and obvious defects. Assembly fit can be checked separately where required.
Routine weld inspection is visual. Welded areas are checked for visible defects, poor positioning and other obvious problems.
Galvanized surfaces are checked for general condition and visible defects. Zinc coating thickness can also be measured when it is required for the order.
A clean galvanized surface does not tell the whole story. Surface condition is checked separately from dimensions, connections, welds and assembly fit.
Individual tubes can look fine while the connection area still needs attention. Connection condition and assembly fit are checked separately, with closer attention to the parts that affect engagement and assembly.
COMPONENT DETAIL
SYSTEM FIT
New and used Ringlock are not checked in exactly the same way. New components are checked against the order, while used stock also needs condition checks for corrosion, bending, concrete contamination and damaged connection parts.
For new Ringlock, checks normally cover the agreed dimensions, weight, material documents, visible weld condition, connection parts, galvanizing, assembly and packing.
For used Ringlock, cleaning and sorting come before grading. Additional attention is given to corrosion, obvious bending, heavy concrete contamination and damaged connection parts.
Different Ringlock components have different inspection points. Our technical articles cover dimensions, connections, visible weld condition, galvanizing and assembly fit in more detail.

Material documents and packing lists can be provided for the order. Available test reports can also be supplied when they apply to the product.
The report images shown here are examples. The document package depends on the product and order.
